Another blue sky start to the day. But, as avid readers will guess something is about to go Wong, very wrong
Unlike us we find the motorway without spending out usual tour of the town we are trying to leave, and pop a couple of miles up the road to the toll booth. Another couple of miles and Dave flies by and pulls over. It seems he forgot to take off the handbrake when he left the hotel and had boiled the brake fluid leaving him without any rear brakes...........
Anyone detect a theme?
So only option is to leave things to cool down and see if it sorts itself out, which thankfully it does and we carry on.
Three hundred miles of motorway today which we brake into 70 mile stops for stretching of the legs!
At one of these we leave a fly on up the motorway, only for me to look back after about to miles to see no sign of Dave. Catch up Bob and we pull over. A minute later Dave arrives with steam coming out of his ears and informs us that Sue has left her bag at the last stop with passports and money. We are on a motorway not quite sure if between us we stand any chance of lifting the trike over the central barrier to allow Dave to go back, when out of the blue a car pulls up and hands Sue her bag!
They saw her leave it and have been chasing up the motorway after us!
Who said you cn rely on human nature.
The rest of the day is still more sunshine and a straight run through to Landhaus B&B
Brilliant place, great rooms and honesty bar. Walked down to a local restaurant.. Only people in the place, but three course for five with drinks came to 110 Euro. Can't be bad!
